Kelsey Berry, PhD

Research Associate

Public Health

Kelsey is Associate Faculty Director of the Master of Bioethics Degree Program at Harvard University where she focuses on applied ethics research in health policy, mechanisms of health and health care disparities, the safety net, and access to mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. Her research involves application of theories of social justice and social membership to resource allocation problems in the US health system and analysis of how provider and patient decisions around the use of supply-constrained health care like substance abuse treatment services and organ transplantation affects access to these services. Kelsey is also interested in how moral concerns around social inclusion and membership manifest in policies for global governance and financing of health.
