The Somatic Partnering Catalogue is an ongoing practice-based research project developed by Dr. Ilya Vidrin. The catalogue organizes and classifies exercises for negotiating equilibrium on account of each other. In order to qualify as a partnering study, the exercise must be 1) loopable, 2) generatively constrained, and 3) mutually agentic. Each exercise features rules that facilitate interaction in a way that is creatively productive rather than merely restrictive - through iterative repetition, the constraints are sufficiently complex to foster creative play. Each partner can (and should) participate fully in making choices within the generative constraints. Below, you will find thumbnails and titles for each exercise that has been catalogue so far.
